About the course

Welcome to the ScopeIT Education online course: HTML/CSS Part 1. This course features the use of the online tool Khan Academy which is a website featuring a blank coding window to practice creating in as well as a wide variety of free courses that are hands-on, clear and well structured. We use the Khan Academy courses to train you, our instructors (Scopers) in basic JavaScript and HTML/CSS (website coding) which prepares you to deliver our lesson plans to students. For our primary in-school lessons, we do not actually sit our students down in front of any premade course and instead use a blank coding window where students apply their learnings. In CIY.Club however, students do use the Khan Academy courses and videos to learn as this complements the self-paced, self-directed learning environment of CIY.Club.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy JavaScript is a browser-based coding environment within Khan Academy for learning text-based programming. It allows users to write JavaScript code to create drawings, animations, and interactive programs directly in the online editor
